Movies and television have made it very clear to most guys that getting a semen analysis will probably be the single most awkward moment of his life.  It must involve an attractive woman who hands him a specimen cup with a silent giggle, an awkward presentation of pornographic materials, and some sort of time constraint that makes it difficult to perform.  It is no wonder so many men freak out and want to at the mere thought of getting tested for fertility issues.

When Doug agreed to have his swimmers checked, we were relieved to learn that he could produce the sample at home.  I hadn't taken into consideration the delivery of said sample.  I had to smuggle the cup in my coat, with two kids in tow, all while watching the clock like a hawk!  That wasn't fun. At. All.  Not to mention Gavin's unrelenting questions of, "What are we taking to the doctor, Mom?  What is in the bag?  What are you handing that lady?"  To say that it was stressful and awkward is an understatement.
